Board Girish Shah Girish Shah has lived in the Bay Area since arriving in USA in 1963. He and his wife, Datta, have three children and two grandchildren. Girish got his Master’s degree from University of California, Berkeley and Bachelor’s degree from IIT, Bombay. Professionally, as an Executive Consultant with IBM Global Services, Girish Shah specializes in e-Business solutions. The areas of experience include banking, credit card payment systems, Internet banking, Internet Financial Portal, online brokerage system, message switching systems, mathematical simulations and modeling. Prior to IBM, Girish was Vice president of Sysorex International, Inc. in Mountain View, CA which was a prime contractor for the federal government. Girish managed a large contract with Internal Revenue Service. Prior to that, Girish was Senior Scientist with McDonnell Douglas Corporation in San Jose, CA. Girish has been active in the local community and national associations for last 23 years. He has been a founding member of Jain Center of N. California which opened a $7 million dollar community center and temple in Milpitas, and is serving on its Board currently. Girish has been a founding member of Federation of Jain Associations In North America. Girish has held many different volunteer positions with these and other local organizations including Federation of Indo-American Associations, Gujarati Cultural Association, Asian American Democratic Caucus, Associations of Indians in America, Goodwill Industries of SF, etc. |
